CALABARZON is the country’s number one wedding region
In 2024, the PSA recorded 371,825 marriages nationwide, about 1,016 every day. CALABARZON accounted for 54,981 of them, or 14.8%, the most of any region. The National Capital Region came second with 48,448 (13.0%).
That lead holds even as marriages fall nationally. Registered marriages dropped 10.2% from 414,213 in 2023, yet CALABARZON stayed on top. Its size helps: CALABARZON is the country’s most populous region, with 16.9 million people as of July 2024. But as the Tagaytay numbers below show, population alone doesn’t explain where couples choose to marry.
